Big sale on Ebay!

So I decided to sell my clarinet, which was a high school graduation gift from my parents. It was a tough decision, because of the sentimental value, but it's been in the top of a closet for the last 10 years and I figured there was no point in keeping it. I took it to a local instrument store and they said that they thought I could get about $200 for it without doing any of the needed repairs. Well, I was very clear about the work that it needed (corks, pads, and a general tuneup), and after 12 hours on Ebay, the highest bid is $405! I am so excited Smile I guess it's worth more than I thought!

    Congrats! I'm a bit jealous. Long story...I gave mine away at a yard sale to a young boy who's parents could not afford it. I've been blessed as a young child by others giving/offering services to my family when we were poor. It was my way of giving back. I still wish I could have sold it Wink

    I probably undersold my flute several years ago. I sold it for $50, since I knew it needed new pads. But I was happy with the buyer -- she was a really nice young woman who wanted to keep up her skills, but didn't have the bucks to buy a new flute. So I guess it all worked out the way it should have!
